DICE has provided updates on not one, but two Battlefield games.
In a blog post, the company has confirmed that the largest team ever at DICE is hard at work at a new Battlefield game for console and PC that is coming later this year, with the reveal to take place soon.
The post says that the game is in daily playtesting right now, with the game being polished and balanced. The game is apparently a bold step that has everything that is loved about Battlefield and takes it all to the next level.
“Massive battles, packed with more players and mayhem than ever before. All brought to life with the power of next-gen consoles and PCs.”.
Further to this, it’s been confirmed that a completely separate mobile Battlefield game is coming next year from the team at Industrial Toys in collaboration with DICE. This will release on tablets and mobile.
The blog post says: “Make no mistake, this is a standalone game. A completely different game from the one we’re making for console and PC, designed specifically for the mobile platform. It’s being built from the ground up by iToys to make Battlefield-on-the-go a reality and you can expect a fully-fledged, skill-based experience. This mobile game is now entering a testing period ahead of launching next year, so expect more details to come.”
It’s going to be an exciting few years for Battlefield fans after a bit of a drought recently.
