July’s PlayStation Plus Games Could Include A Plague Tale: Innocence On PS5

We might know our first game of July’s PlayStation Plus line up. This comes courtesy of Deluxera on Resetera who correctly reported on the announcement of A Play Tale: Requiem for release on Xbox, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

According to the user, A Plague Tale: Innocence (which is launching on PS5/Xbox Series X next month) will be free for PS5 owners on PlayStation Plus in July.

Ahead of E3, Deluxera said: “Asobo will also reveal a next-gen remaster of the first Plague Tale game .. If you are on PlayStation 5 don’t purchase it right now as it will be included on the July PSPlus.” said Deluxera.

We now know that the next-gen update is releasing on July 6th which would fit perfectly for when PlayStation Plus games are normally dropped. The game will run at 4K with visual enhancements and a 60 FPS mode as well.

A Plague Tale: Innocence released in 2019. We gave the game an 8/10 in our review and said: A Plague Tale, at times, feels like a missing early chapter of the Assassin’s Creed catalogue. Its ability to bend a truly fascinating point in documented history into a fantastical, mythical story that keeps you invested from start to finish is remarkable. It’s a cinematic journey that is uncomplicated in its delivery, managing to occupy gamers without distracting from the game’s narrative and the bond that develops between the de Rune siblings which, in the end, is A Plague Tale’s undoubted strength.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more about July’s PlayStation Plus lineup. For now, you can grab Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, Star Wars: Squadrons and Operation Tango on PS5.
