PlayStation Plus Is Opening Up Multiplayer To Everyone For Free This Weekend

Press Start may receive a commission when you buy from links on our site at no extra cost to you.

Great news if you were hoping to get in some gaming with friends this weekend but have a lapsed PlayStation Plus subscription, or simply can’t justify spending money on it right now. PlayStation is holding a free online multiplayer weekend so that everyone can join in the fun, whether or not they’re subscribed to PS Plus.

The event runs from 12:01am on Saturday, December 18 through until 11:59am Sunday, December 19 (AEDT) so you’ve got the full weekend to take advantage:

You will still obviously need an active internet connection and a registered PlayStation Network account to take advantage, but the pay gate will be temporarily lifted for all!
