God Of War Ragnarok Has Already Sold 11 Million Copies

Thor that coming.

God of War Ragnarok, Santa Monica Studio’s massive 2022 follow-up, has seemingly sold incredibly well.

The studio took to Twitter to announce that the game has now sold through 11 million copies, less than three months since its November 9th release. The game had already set a record for the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios title of all time having moved over 5 million units in its first week.

Since launch, the game has seen hugely positive reviews as well as post-launch support from Santa Monica Studio in the form of an added photo mode, with a New Game+ option coming sometime in the next few months.

Amazon has also announced that it’s working on a God of War television series that will cover the world and characters as they are in SMS’ recent games.

We’re incredibly humbled that #GodofWarRagnarok has officially sold through 11 million copies!

None of this would be possible without the support of our fans, so thank you for coming on this journey with us!

We gave God of War Ragnarok a 9.5/10 in our review, saying “God of War Ragnarok is a triumph. Santa Monica Studio has successfully taken everything that was great about the last game and amplified it while correcting just about every problem area and then some.”
