Resident Evil 4

The Resident Evil 4 Remake Is Getting A Free PlayStation VR2 Update

But not at launch.

Announced unceremoniously in a tweet on the official Japanese account for Resident Evil/Biohazard, it’s been revealed that the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4 will be getting a free VR mode on the PS5, for the PlayStation VR2.

The duo of tweets read:

“Development of VR mode for Resident Evil 4 has started! Stay tuned for more details!”

“The VR mode of Resident Evil 4 will be distributed as a free DLC for PlayStation 5/PlayStation VR2.”

There’s no mention yet of whether the mode will make the entire game playable in VR or serve as additional content for the game, but given that Capcom is saying development has only just begun on the mode it’s safe to say it’ll be a while before we see it.
