AFL 23’s Release Date And A Bunch Of New Screenshots Have Been Revealed

Following in the footsteps of the rating appearing on the classification board a few weeks ago, The AFL 23 release date has now been confirmed.

The game will release on April 13th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC which is just over six weeks away. Pre-orders are available now and you can do so at JB Hi-Fi now for $79. The game will feature a Management career mode, including drafting and player development. You’ll also be able to create your own clubs, players and stadiums and share them with the world.

There will also be 4 player online and local co-op with cross-play. Commentary will be presented by Anthony Hudson, Hamish McLachlan, Daisy Pearce, Daniel Harford, Kelli Underwood and Jason Bennett.

Alongside the release date, we also got a look at a bunch of new screenshots for the game which shows off a number of teams in-action, as well as our first look at the AFLW in action. There’s also a pretty tasty look at what we assume are the intros for each team.

We got a first look at gameplay late last year for the grand final, and you can see that below:

This is the first AFL game by Melbourne’s Big Ant since AFL Live, with NSW developer Wicked Witch developing the last few games in the series.
