Final Fantasy XVI’s Breathtaking Launch Trailer Has Dropped Ahead Of Next Month’s Release

Caught it on Clivestream!

It wouldn’t be a recent PlayStation Showcase without Final Fantasy XVI making an appearance to remind us all that Sony is banking a lot on Square Enix’ next mainline effort.

Dropped in during the lengthy presentation, the game has received its “Launch Trailer” nearly a full month before it actually releases. Titled Salvation, the three-minute trailer gives us another deep look into the game, from earlier moments featuring a young Clive amidst a land in turmoil to heated Eikon. There’s a heap of new locations and iconic Final Fantasy creatures to glimpse in the trailer, so check it out below:

“We don’t need your salvation. We’ll save ourselves. And we’ll do it on our own terms.” Clive Rosfield and his allies fight to take back control of their fate. What salvation can they bring to Valisthea, a land blessed by the light of the Mothercrystals?

FATE WILL FALL.

We’ve recently gotten a treasure trove of new Final Fantasy XVI info with international outlets having a second, lengthy hands-on with the game and the revelations that the pre-launch demo will be quite substantial, and the game won’t require any kind of day one update when it launches on June 22nd exclusively for PS5.

We also played Final Fantasy XVI for ourselves earlier this year, saying “…the two-and-a-bit hours I spent immersing myself in Final Fantasy XVI has painted a reassuringly positive picture. It’s been in good enough hands this whole time that I’ve always felt rather confident in the game to really bring the single-player Final Fantasy experience back into good stead, but knowing what I now know and playing what I played I’m almost certain that this will be the Final Fantasy to truly wow the world once again.

Final Fantasy XVI launches for PS5 on June 22nd, 2023. Amazon has the cheapest pre-order price at $84 with free shipping.
