Mortal Kombat 1 Is Bringing Back Nitara With Megan Fox Playing The Role

NetherRealm Studios has revealed that its bringing back Outworld’s Vampire, Nitara, as a playable Kombatant in Mortal Kombat 1 after nearly 17 years on the bench. Not only that, but she’ll be voiced by none other than Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body, Transformers).

The studio shared a video debuting this new iteration of the character and footage of her in gameplay along with Fox describing the experience of portraying her.

“She comes from this weird realm. She is a type of vampire creature. She’s evil but she’s also good, she’s trying to save her people. I really like her. She’s a vampire, which obviously… Resonates for whatever reason,” Fox says in the video, potentially outing herself as a Daywalker.

The trailer is worth a watch, if not for the Kung Lao “Jen’s body” gag then for the absolute carnage that Nitara creates on-screen in expectedly bloody fashion. Check it out below:

After almost 17 years, the Vampire of Outworld has graced us with her presence. Megan Fox brings Nitara back to life.

Mortal Kombat 1 releases on September 19th, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Amazon currently has pre-orders for $84 including free shipping. There’s also a Premium Edition available which releases five days early on September 14th.
