It’s a big week for rumoured platform broadcasts to be confirmed as real, and a stacked morning for gaming news tomorrow with PlayStation announcing a new State of Play broadcast kicking off tomorrow morning, just a few hours after the big Nintendo Direct.
The State of Play won’t be a huge one, focused mainly on indies, PS VR2 and third-party titles, but it should be worth tuning in to, especially because it’s at the somewhat reasonable time of 7AM AEST.
WHEN CAN I WATCH THE STATE OF PLAY IN AUSTRALIA?
You’ll be able to watch the State of Play on Friday, September 15th at 7AM AEST. Here’s how that shakes out across the nation:
- 7.00AM AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Hobart/Canberra/Brisbane)
- 6.30AM ACST (Adelaide, Darwin)
- 5.00AM AWST (Perth)
- 9.00AM NZDT (Wellington)
WHERE CAN I WATCH THE PLAYSTATION STATE OF PLAY?
Right here! The State of Play will be watchable below as soon as it goes live:
“This State of Play broadcast will focus on updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles. From indie and PS VR2 highlights, to major upcoming titles from our third-party partners, our latest show has something for everyone.”
WHAT WILL BE SHOWN AT THE STATE OF PLAY?
Given that PlayStation has been upfront in saying this one’s mostly focused on indies, PS VR2 games and third-party partner titles, it’s probably best to expect something relatively tame.
That said, there’s a lot of third-party State of Play material that could show up and would be very exciting to see, like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Silent Hill 2, Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, Pacific Drive and a bunch more, so who knows? It could be a pretty good time! Now, if we could get any kind of update on Little Devil Inside, that would be swell.
WILL A NEW PS5 CONSOLE BE ANNOUNCED AT THE STATE OF PLAY?
Highly doubt it. But I’ve been wrong before. Quite often, in fact.
