PlayStation Plus Extra Is Getting A New Day One Launch Title In November

This is going to blow up.

Tuxedo Labs has finally announced the release date for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S version of its voxel-based destruction and heist sim, Teardown, which will be making its way to consoles for the first time on November 15th.

Better yet, it’s announced via the PlayStation Blog that Teardown will be launching into the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue on day one, meaning PS5 users with PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe subscriptions will be able to download and play it from launch.

In case you’ve not seen it before Teardown is a heist sim featuring fully-destructible environments packed with emergent gameplay and player freedom, where you’re able to tear apart voxel-based buildings, build structures, drive, shoot, explode, essentially do whatever it takes to complete 40 missions across the game’s campaign or just go nuts in its sandbox mode.

Teardown’s console launch will also coincide with the release of its Time Campers DLC expansion, which is set in a dusty wild west mining town and will see players pull of elaborate bank robberies with period-appropriate tools (but still plenty of smashing and blowing things up). Tuxedo Labs has also revealed it’ll be adding a selection of user-made mods to the console versions of the game.

“Prepare the perfect heist in this simulated and fully destructible voxel world, coming to PlayStation 5 on November 15th. PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers have immediate access to play the game on day one!”

Of course, this one’s not hitting PlayStation Plus until November, and we’re yet to even see the line-up of PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue additions for October yet, though PlayStation has recently confirmed the games we’ll see as part of the monthly PlayStation Plus Essential three-game drop next week. You can find out all about those right here.
