Scott Ludlam, who is the co-deputy leader of the Federal Greens has just resigned from Parliament due to the fact that he is a dual-citizen. Ludlam announced his resignation on Twitter, in which he posted a long statement where he apologised to The Greens and wider Australian community who shared his beliefs.

We’ve posted about Senator Ludlam on Press Start quite often. His work towards getting video games to be more widely recognised in federal budgets and trying to fight the good fight for gamers is well-recognised. More recently when calls for funding of local games development have been ignored, Ludlam kept pushing the agenda in order to get answers.
today's the day. just doing a bit of internal expectation management ?? https://t.co/CKTrBR5pMq

It’s an incredibly sad day, and quite frankly it’s hard to see just who is going to fight the good fight for local game development going forward.
