Bloober Team And Draw Distance Are Collaborating On A Brand-New Title

What is Project M?

Gosh, Bloober Team is keeping busy at the moment.

Not content just with working on a massive new entry in its Layers of Fear series, the appropriately/confusingly titled Layers of Fears, a new survival horror game under the Private Division label, or being the hand-picked team to lead the charge on the upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2, the studio has also just announced another new game – codenamed Project M.

The game itself being developed by the team at Draw Distance, known for last year’s excellent stealth-action title, Serial Cleaners, as announced in a tweet revealing that the project has been in pre-production for over a year and is now entering the full production phase:

We’re working on a new game! For over a year now, Bloober Team has been conducting pre-production works on a title codenamed Project M. Now the game enters the production phase, and Draw Distance (creators of the Serial Cleaner franchise), has been chosen as its developer!”

Bloober’s last game, The Medium, launched in 2021 to average reviews. We scored it a 6.5/10 saying “The Medium is Bloober Team’s most ambitious game in terms of scope and scale. It successfully leverages fixed camera angles and strong sound design to create a horror experience that’s unashamedly nostalgic. Despite its successes, the game fails to capitalise on its unique dual reality mechanic and ultimately feels too similar to the studio’s prior efforts in Blair Witch and Observer.”
