After leaking last night, LEGO has now officially revealed the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System. The NES Building Kit will hit Australia on August 1st for $349.99 AUD and will include a buildable controller with a cord, a buildable NES system and a buildable retro TV. The controller connects to the unit with a cord and the NES even has a game flap that can be opened and closed.
The best part about the set is that it’s actually interactive. You can scan in your Mario from the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course and you can then play an 8-Bit version of Mario on the LEGO built screen. He’ll be able to react to enemies, obstacles and power-ups just as he would have in the game.
The set will be exclusive to LEGO.com for the foreseeable future. You can pre-order it right HERE. It will be coming to other retailers next year. The entire LEGO Super Mario range launches on August 1st.
