Here’s Cyberpunk 2077 Running On A Nintendo Switch

By now, we all know that Cyberpunk 2077 is suffering from countless bugs, glitches and performance issues on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Oddly enough, we also now know that thanks to Google Stadia and some clever hacking on the part of YouTuber Nintendrew, these performance issues don’t extend to the Nintendo Switch while streaming the game. From phallic fireworks in Animal Crossing to people vaping into their new Xbox consoles, I’ve certainly written some strange articles in 2020 but Cyberpunk 2077 being played on a Nintendo Switch console must be close to the most surprising thing I’ve come across during this matchlessly weird year.

Yeah, we know this isn’t technically running on the Nintendo Switch hardware, it’s using Google’s powerhouse Data Centers to remotely render the game and then using a speedy internet connection to deliver the information to the Switch…but it’s still pretty cool, right? We absolutely don’t recommend hacking your Nintendo Switch but Nintendrew offers some advice on how to do it the right way if you are that way inclined.

This is a bit of fun news among an absolute cataclysm of bad news for Cyberpunk 2077 and its developer CD Projekt RED. Just this week, Sony pulled the game from their digital storefront and Big W started posting warnings about the game’s performance in their stores.
