It’s been extremely quiet for Nintendo Switch Online in the last year or two, with only NES and SNES games still being available on the service, but it seems that this will change in the near future.
According to Nintendo Life, both GameBoy and GameBoy Color games will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online service “really soon”.
We know from an earlier data mine, that the Nintendo Switch Online app references four emulators (two of which are used for the NES Mini and SNES Mini consoles), so it’s likely that the other two refer to other consoles not yet on the service.
With a tad over 80 games available on the Nintendo Switch Online service, it’s no secret that Nintendo still has ways to go with bringing a lot of its back catalogue to the console.
We’ll keep you posted on any announcement that is made.
