Pokémon Scarlet/Violet’s DLC Expansions Are Bringing Back All Of The Starter Pokémon

The Pokémon Company took the opportunity, during the closing ceremony of the Pokémon World Championships 2023, to reveal another new trailer for the two-part expansion to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which dropped some pretty big news for longtime Pokémon fans.

In the trailer, titled “Many Surprises Await in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero!’ it’s revealed that all 24 previous-generation starter Pokémon will be appearing in the second DLC expansion for the games, The Indigo Disk. The video also introduces some new moves and Terastellize mechanics and Pokémon, so check it out just below:

The Indigo Disk is set on the mostly underwater Blueberry Academy, housing a terrarium made up of four biomes filled with Pokémon and new trainers as you get to grips with life as a student at Blueberry Academy. The BB League looks to be the biggest draw of The Indigo Disk, offering up a new gym-like challenge with its very own Elite Four. Each one has their own Elite Challenge that has to be undertaken before battle, one of which lets you fly around on Miraidon and Koraidon temporarily, which is a cool addition to the mountable legendaries.
