With only a couple of months left before the official release of Borderlands 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, on September 13, 2K is offering Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for free to play this weekend on Xbox One and PC exclusively for Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members and Steam users.

Xbox One players can download and play the game with remastered Ultra HD visuals and local co-op for up to four players until July 22nd  at 4:59 PM AEST and Steam players will have access until 6:00 AM AEST on the same day.

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition includes all four of the DLC add-ons, so in addition to the main campaign you can play through The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, and Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution all weekend long. After the free-to-play trial concludes the game will remain on sale for 50% off until July 22 on Steam and July 29 on Xbox One via the Marketplace and all progress will carry-over so you won’t lose your build or load-out.
