RoboCop: Rogue City Just Got A Gameplay Trailer And A New Release Window

It's arrested development.

After its reveal last year at Nacon’s showcase, we’ve had our first substantial look at gameplay for Teyon’s Robocop: Rogue City, an investigative first-person shooter based on the pulp-action film from the 1980s.

The same team developed 2019’s Terminator: Resistance, another film tie-in that was met with lukewarm reception.

RoboCop: Rogue City, which’ll see Peter Weller reprise his role as a titular cyborg, was originally set for release in June of this year, but has since been revised to September in its newest trailer.

On the back of yesterday’s Starfield news, this is perhaps a bold choice.

The gameplay overview, debuted during this year’s showcase from Nacon, shows RoboCop taking down a drug ring inside of a Detroit arcade. It’s my hope that Rogue City captures the political satire of the film while delivering that irresistible retrofuturist look of the tech.
