Avalanche Studios dropped a brand new Hogwarts Legacy trailer earlier today, and it showcases how the game utilises the PS5’s unique features to make the wizarding world feel more alive than ever.
Obviously it wouldn’t be a Harry Potter game without magic, and the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers mean that you can feel the resistance at your fingertips before firing off every single spell. Similarly, you’ll feel each spell provide difference levels of feedback through the haptics of the controller.
This is all applied to the different tasks that you can perform throughout the world as well as flying on a broomstick or on a hippogriff.
When it comes to graphics, the game will feature a fidelity mode as well a performance graphics mode, so you can choose between 4K graphics and a higher frame rate. 3D Audio is also in full use so that you can hear each crackle of each spell from the direction that it is cast in.
Hogwarts Legacy is still scheduled to release this holiday for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC. The cheapest copy is currently $82 on PS5 and $74 on PS4 on Amazon.
