Dead Island 2’s “Welcome to Hell-A” gameplay trailer has dropped and it’s a solid 4-minute explainer on what’s up in the game’s zombie-apocalyptic Los Angeles setting.
The trailer gives us a glimpse at the colourful environments, and characters, to expect in the game as well its delightfully violent combat with a heavy focus on brutal melee. You’ll see zombie faces caved in and bodies mashed up by hammers, katanas, machetes, claws, fists and a ton of guns and a look at the distinct types of zombies you’ll encounter in the game.
The trailer also briefly highlights the Alexa Game Control feature which will let you issue voice commands to perform certain actions in-game like calling zombies over or quickly changing your weapon. There’s a longer video showing that off here.
It all looks bloody fantastic so check it out below:
Alternatively, if you’d like to watch the trailer sandwiched in-between a hammy live-action trailer that pokes fun at live-action video game trailers and directors like Uwe Boll, you can do that here.
Dead Island 2 is set to launch on April 28th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The cheapest copy is $74.90 for the regular edition and $144 for the Collector’s Edition.
