New Rise Of The Ronin Details Have Reportedly Leaked Including A Release Window

The Snitch strikes again.

First revealed at the September 2022 PlayStation State of Play, Rise of the Ronin excited us quite a bit with its heavy Ghost of Tsushima vibes combined with a hint of Assassin’s Creed and the promise of the kind of Souls-like challenge that developer Team Ninja has provided in the past in games like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

It’s been a hot minute since we heard anything else about the game, but a brand-new leak from an old friend of the internet, The Snitch, has claimed to reveal fresh details around the game – including when we might see it launch. The leaks were shared by The Snitch, a leaker that’s proven to be a reliable source of information many times already, in a private Discord server. The leaker has also claimed that they’ve seen screenshots of the game, which they haven’t shared.

The details that The Snitch claims to have obtained for Rise of the Ronin (via Insider Gaming) are as follows:

  • The game is a mix of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, and Dark Souls
  • Many item descriptions are used to make the lore bigger and better (E.G: “(…)It was produced in the craftsmanship style associated with a renowned blacksmith named Okisato Nagasone, who lived in Musashi during the 17th century and was also known as Kotetsu.
  • Numerous side-quests that are more like Ubisoft side-quest designs
  • Difficulty options
  • Skill and technique trees
  • Performance and quality modes (trying to improve fidelity before launch)
  • Planned romance options
  • Planned Q1 2024
