Update: Ryu ga Gotoku Studio has revealed that the free English Dub update for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be launching at some point this month:

We gave the game an 8/10 in our review last month, saying “While The Man Who Erased His Name is a very safe Like A Dragon experience, longtime fans are sure to relish its smaller scope and renewed focus on Kiryu. It might lack some of the suspense and unpredictability of prior entries, but more than makes up for it in its more intimate exploration of one of the most legendary characters in gaming.”
Original Story 17/10: Fans hoping to play the next installment in the excellent Like a Dragon franchise with an English dub might need to hold out a little longer than originally thought, with the English voice actor for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name’s Kiryu, Yong Yea, pointing out on social media that the dub won’t be included at launch.
Yea shared a screenshot of the game’s publicly-displayed language information, which states that the game will support Japanese voices with English audio being implemented in a post-launch patch, saying “Since Like A Dragon: Gaiden is a few weeks away and many may not know about this, thought I should let you know the English dub will not be available on the 11/8 launch date and will release as a post-launch patch (no official date yet). Hope you’ll look forward to it!”
It’s worth noting that while Yea’s post erroneously points to a November 8th release date, it’s actually launching on November 9th – and digitally only in most regions, which perhaps makes a bit more sense now.

Yea also added in a reply that, as far as he knows or can say, the next major release in the franchise, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, should have its English audio available when it launches on January 24th next year.
He wrote, “For Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, I don’t know what I can and can’t say, so I’ll relay what’s currently public. If you go to its Steam listing, English audio is checkmarked, suggesting simultaneous release for Japanese and English dubs. Pumped for y’all to play it on 1/24/2024!”
