A Free Starfield Celebration Event Is Happening In Sydney On Launch Day

Book your free ticket now!

Update: Bethesda has finally revealed what’s going down at Circular Quay next Wednesday, September 6th and it’s a special Starfield Launch Experience.

The Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay will be transformed in the evening for fans to enjoy a heap of themed and immersive activities, neat lighting installations, cosplayers and a heap more. There won’t be gameplay (hopefully you’ve got Game Pass locked and loaded to start playing on September 6th anyway!) but it’ll be a celebration of Starfield made for fans.

Tickets for the 18+ event are free, and you can book yours here while they last.

“Starfield is our biggest launch ever and we can’t wait for fans to experience the incredible universe Bethesda Games Studios have built,” said Bethesda APAC’s VP & Managing Director, Simon Alty, in a press release. “Bethesda has a long history of iconic and immersive worlds full of adventure, and Starfield brings that experience to a new frontier. We can’t wait to welcome you into the ‘Starfield Launch Experience’ and celebrate with you all.”

Bethesda’s ANZ & SE Asia division has dropped a cryptic call-out on social media for Sydney-dwelling (or incredibly willing) Starfield fans, posting an image with coordinates highlighting a location in Circular Quay.

The post reads “Mission briefing to begin at 10am tomorrow,” which is Tuesday, August 29th and presumably in AEST, and a follow-up reply simply says to, “Keep your eyes peeled, the early bird gets the worm…”

We have no idea what this mystery entails, whether it’s some kind of launch celebration or Todd Howard being blasted into outer space from a deck at the Quay but it seems as though we’ll be learning more early tomorrow morning.
