Prime Video has dropped a new teaser trailer for its upcoming streaming series based on Bethesda’s iconic Fallout franchise, and it contains a confirmation of the premiere date for the very first episode.
The video, which you can see below, shows up a classics PIP-OS screen with command prompts and a line that reads “HOLOTAPE FOUND: 101_THE END,” suggesting that the title of the debut episode is The End.
We then see a short animatic of Vault Boy with the date 04.12.24, or (in an Americanised date format) April 12th, 2024.
The Fallout series will be set in a future, post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles and focus on the inhabitants of Vault 33. Amazon has said that the show will be an original story and will be considered a canonical addition to the existing games.
The show is being produced by Kilter Films in collaboration with Amazon Prime and Bethesda, with Lisa Joy (co-creator of Westworld) and Jonah Nolan (writer and director on Westworld, writer on Interstellar) developing the show. The cast will include Walton Goggins (The Righteous Gemstones, Invincible), Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, Arcane) and Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Dune).
