With God of War taking centre stage in PlayStation’s latest batch of adverts, we were bound to see a release date for the hotly anticipated console exclusive soon. But we mightn’t have expected the game to be coming out so soon.
As per a tweet shared by developers Santa Monica Studio – which includes a brand spanking new story trailer – God of War is being released in only a couple of months time, on the 20th April this year. Be warned though, the trailer does seem to reveal a lot about the story.
It’s a little later than rumoured to be, but at least we won’t have to wait much longer. This is more good news after it was announced that it wouldn’t have a paid season pass and a wicked collector’s edition was announced.
The game is a soft reboot for the classic PlayStation franchise, adopting a more narrative-driven approach. It’s now available for pre-order and we couldn’t be more excited.
