Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Will Have No Modern Day Sections

Different from what we're used to.

Ahead of today’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage reveal, we had the chance to talk to Narrative Director, Sarah Beaulieu about the game. We asked a bunch about how the game takes the series back to its roots which you can read HERE.

One of the more interesting tidbits from our interview was that Mirage will not feature any modern day segments, which have been a core staple of Assassin’s Creed since the original games.

When asked if we’ll see any modern day sections in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Beaulieu said: “So I can tell you that even though you’re going to have a clear entering the Animus moment at the beginning of Mirage, there is no present day at all”.

Technically no modern day segments in Mirage do make sense given what we know about how Valhalla ended and Basim’s story resolution in that game, but given there is an “entering the animus” moment it will be interesting to see what that means in the context of the game.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches in 2023 for PS5, PS4 Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
