Tales of Kenzera: ZAU’s release this month was already on the cards, and pretty exciting as the next EA Originals-published title and a debut effort from actor Abubakar Salim’s Surgent Studios, but now for a bit of extra excitement it’s been revealed that the game will be launching straight into the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe subscribers.
Although it’ll miss the April 16th drop of new games (which includes another day one launch in Dave the Diver), Tales of Kenzera: ZAU’s PlayStation release will be available for for Extra/Deluxe members to download and play on its release day of April 23rd, 2024.
EA took to the PlayStation Blog to reveal the news as well as go over a bit of a breakdown of the game’s overall concept and how its narrative and world are shaped by Bantu tales, as well as ideas of loss and grief. The game itself will be a 2D action adventure with plenty of exploration and combat using protagonist Zau’s unique abilities imbued by the Sun Mask and Moon Mask.
You can find out a heap more about the game on the PlayStation Blog here.
