IGN Live Is A New June Gaming Event Gunning For The Void Left By E3

June 2024 is heating up.

With E3’s demise now signed and sealed, one new in-person gaming show is looking to fill the space left in the June season of gaming – IGN Live.

The inaugural event is set to take place in a venue in downtown Los Angeles across a full weekend, this June 7th to June 9th, and will also be broadcast across the world as part of IGN’s fifth year of Summer of Gaming activities.

The event won’t mirror E3 in having a big show floor stacked with booths, but will instead be a multi-day stage show covering games, movies and shows, interviews, celebrity panels and other fun stuff from the likes of Amazon Games, Netflix, Atari, Bandai Namco, Square Enix and more. There’ll also be an Arcade Hall and gaming lounges for attendees to go hands-on with games alongside IGN hosts, and live recordings of shows like Podcast Beyond! and Game Scoop.

If you happen to be in LA in June, or willing to travel for the festivities, tickets are on sale now right here, and are priced at $25 USD for a single-day general admission or $60 USD for a VIP three-day pass that also includes a gift bag, priority access, reserved screening room seating and other benefits.

IGN president, Yael Prough, said in a press release, “IGN Live represents a fresh, content-led approach to in-person experiences that celebrate the rich, diverse worlds of games, entertainment, tech, and pop culture. Magic Box reflects the originality and fun we’re bringing to fandoms over the world through IGN Live, both on the ground and through our livestream.”
