As we inch ever closer to the launch of Stellar Blade this Friday, April 26th, developer has put together a special “motion comic” to act as a quick prologue to the game and prime players to see more of its sci-fi world and story.
The short comic can be viewed in a browser and shows protagonist EVE being trained by her mentor, Tachy, while the two discuss the ongoing conflict they’re about to enter in between what’s left of humanity and a destructive species of monsters known as the Naytiba that have taken over Earth.
If you’ve played the recently-released free demo for Stellar Blade, you’ll no doubt already know at least some of the fate that awaits EVE and Tachy when their squad first reaches Earth, and so the scenes in the comic where the two discuss what their futures hold will likely pack even more of a punch. Overall it’s a 60-second read (if that) with not much new to say, but it’s quite eye-catching and adds a nice touch of extra context to the game’s opening. You can look at it right here.

Stellar Blade launches on April 26th exclusively for PS5. A free playable demo is available now that allows players to sample the first stage of the game, with progress carrying over to the full release.
